The deductions are taken by the factory, using the specifications for the product ordered. Different manufacturers will have different deductions. The deductions are crucial to ensure a proper fit and clearance. Never adjust your size to compensate for these deductions. If you do adjust your window opening size, your blind or shade may not fit.
